I'm alive.

2/2/13 by DylnMatrix

Somewhat.

Been suffering from depression, due to general loneliness and a recent loss in my family. All that just sucks away my inspiration, preventing me from continuing much or starting anything new.

But, I managed to start and finish one song over the week I was out of town for the funeral. I call it "Not Over Yet." (Horrible title, I know.)

I wanted to try and tell a story with it, and I feel like I succeeded in telling that story in the 7 minutes and 15 seconds of the song. I'm not going to tell you the story, as I want to hear other's interpretations before I tell the true story behind it. All I'll say is this: The song is almost constantly changing. It's rare that two different parts of the song are exactly alike. I may have used the same patterns, but I still managed to keep it mostly unique all the way through, I hope.

Let me know what you think!

Hope you guys enjoy the track!

Hey bruddah, I thought I would stop by and say thanks for joining us here on NG. I know there is a lot left for all of us to learn. Together we can become better musicians, and better producers. If you ever need anything man, just let me know.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Matt. :( I really did enjoy the song, and I really appreciate how you're following me now. ^^ I can't believe how nice people have been to me on Newgrounds. :D I hope you find a way to cope with your loss, and just remember: you're never alone. :)

Thanks man. Sometimes it's hard to remember that, and you just need to be reminded. And no problem. I came to Newgrounds to get help and learn how to help others, and, if you find the right people, Newgrounds has one of the nicest communities I know.
