This is pretty good. I'm really digging that kick and bass, and I like the melody. If I had to give criticism, I would say it's slightly repetitive until 2:05 when the "solo" kicks in. But seeing as you made it more of a rave song, it makes sense that it's a little repetitive.

SuperGoodSound responds:

i definitely hear you on the repetition part, this was made in like 3 hours i didn't really put enough effort into it for it to truly stand-out in that kind of manner

Fun, I could definitely see this being in a video game. Has a very light and cheerful feel, and it puts a smile on the face. This kind of reminds me of one the chao garden theme from Sonic Adventure 2, with the way the song progresses and makes you want to dance in a field of flowers lol.

Awesome job, my good sir. Keep it up.

Very pretty. The title fits it very well, as it sounds like the owner of voice to the song was shipwrecked, and it sounds like it's calling for help. Lamenting for past mistakes, remembering everyone and everything they love.

My only problem is that I feel as if the song takes a little too long to build up to the really emotional stuff. But that really could just be my ADD talking, so take it with a very small grain of salt.

johnfn responds:

mmmm... your criticism is intriguing... i'm not going to lie, i really enjoy the songs that slowly build to some sort of awesomeness, so i don't think i'm going to abandon that. ;-) but maybe what i can try to do is make the build itself more interesting, so the core of the song isnt the only cool part. i admit i kinda rushed the big build on this one... so maybe that's what your problem is.

Finally got the chance to return the favor lol

Anyways, I'm really liking this. Seems like it would be for a really good epic film or something. The beginning was beautiful with just the strings and piano. When the bass and guitar came in, they kind of threw me off guard, and I wasn't sure I liked it until about 1:25. You barely even notice them as they blend in so well with the other instruments.

My only nitpicks are that the bass was a little loud at 0:25, and kind of takes away from the rest of the instruments, and the guitar is a little too quiet for my taste, but that's just me.

Very good job on this otherwise. Keep it up!

Thanks! Yeah I get ya on that though. I appreciate the review though!

I'll have to agree with the other reviewers on having a softer bass and having the drums sound a little better. I also find it a little too repetitive, but that's usually a curse of EDM lol. Other than those complaints, I like this, it's very catchy.

slipperyslopes responds:

Sweet, thanks! Yeah... I think my bass was too much... I love bass, and i end up raising its volume... :P Thanks for taking the time to review! Awesome stuffs

I like it! Very upbeat and fun sounding. Sounds like it could have lyrics and vocals, but it sounds great on its own. I think it's more poppy than techno though, but that's just me :P

Not bad. It sounds like techno to me, but I can't differentiate most electronic genres worth a damn, so don't rely on me XD

Anyways, I like it. The main part you have is pretty catchy and sounds solid. The mixing's also pretty good, other than it being a little too quiet. Add some melodic changes, or maybe even a key change in there, if you finish it, that way it doesn't get too repetitive.

Yoshiii343 responds:

I've solved the volume problem, and I'll upload that when I'm not tired as shit.
Melodic/key changes are a bit awkward for me, but we'll see.

Definitely love the concept of the piece. It's a great artistic idea, to have the two voices work with or against each other in the piece and it shows. Makes me think of two people dancing together, pushing each other away and being brought back together to make something beautiful. Awesome job as always, hope to hear more from you in the future.

Not bad, it's got a nice catchy melody and it got me dancing. Kinda got a little repetitive towards the end, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. Good job on this.

Zodin responds:

Thanks man :)

Wow, for not putting your all into it, this is really good and catchy as heck. I've loved all of your work and this song is on par with most of your others, in my eyes at least.
Good job man, hope to keep hearing music from you.

I'm an amateur Instrumental EDM composer from Minnesota, and my genre is mainly Trance. I use FL Studio, play acoustic guitar and electric bass, and I sing as well. I'm the other half of the group Equilibria.
